As a GCP Cloud Engineer , you'll build trusted relationships with business stakeholders and leverage the latest cloud technologies to create data-driven solutions that transform organisations. Your expertise will help clients modernise their infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, and position themselves for success in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
The Role
Joining a talented and collaborative team, you'll play a key role in designing, supporting, and optimising Google Cloud environments for a diverse client portfolio. You'll work closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure environments.
- Monitor, support, and troubleshoot GCP services and applications.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, templates, and tooling.
- Provide technical guidance and support on GCP-related technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation relating to cloud environments.
- Implement and manage cloud security, governance, and compliance controls.
- Help clients adopt modern DevOps and cloud operational practices.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in GCP infrastructure administration and management.
- Strong knowledge of GCP services, including: Compute Engine, Serverless solutions, Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, Security services
- Strong understanding of GCP networking, including: VPCs, Subnets, Network Security Groups, Cloud Interconnect, Load Balancers, Gateways
- Experience implementing and managing GCP security and compliance solutions.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation scripts and cloud templates.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical challenges and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong Python scripting skills for automation and operational efficiency.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including: Azure DevOps, Jira, Repositories, Pipelines, Kanban methodologies
- Experience designing and supporting CI/CD processes.
- Understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices.
- Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
Desirable Skills
- Linux administration experience.
- Google Cloud certifications, including:
- Cloud Digital Leader
- Associate Cloud Engineer
- Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
- Professional Cloud Security Engineer
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call support rota.
