Job Description Senior Business Analyst Consultant - Insurance Please note - this role will require you to work on client site 3 days per week in Central London with occasional office visits to Reading. Salary: Up to Β£110,000 + Bonus + Benefits Employment Type: Permanent We're partnering with a leading London-based consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Business Analyst for a major transformation programme with a prominent London Market insurance broker. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst who combines strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering expertise with deep London Market insurance knowledge, particularly across underwriting operations and insurance data flows. You'll play a key role in delivering business and technology change initiatives, working closely with underwriting teams, operations, product owners, data specialists, and senior business stakeholders. Lead discovery, requirements gathering and business analysis activities across strategic change initiatives. Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders. Document business requirements, process maps, user stories and acceptance criteria. Analyse and document end-to-end business processes and data flows. Support solution design by ensuring business requirements are clearly understood and translated into deliverable outcomes. Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains and enhanced data quality. Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. We are seeking a proven Business Analyst with significant London Market insurance experience, ideally gained through work with brokers, insurers, Lloyd's syndicates or London Market consulting engagements. Risk submission and quote management Policy administration Delegated Authority / Coverholder business Claims interaction with underwriting functions Regulatory and market reporting requirements Data-Focused Experience Candidates must have a strong understanding of how data supports insurance operations, including: Business data analysis Data lineage and traceability End-to-end data flows Data mapping and transformation requirements Data quality and governance considerations Identifying upstream and downstream data impacts Working with data teams and architects Please note: this is not a hands-on technical data role. We are looking for a Business Analyst who can understand and document data concepts, flows and business impacts rather than perform technical development or engineering activities. Extensive Business Analysis experience within insurance transformation programmes. Experience supporting underwriting-focused change initiatives. Ability to engage effectively with both business and technical teams. Experience working within consultancy, insurer, broker or Lloyd's environments is highly desirable. Business Analysis qualifications (BCS, IIBA or equivalent) advantageous.
