We're looking for a Power BI specialist to partner closely with business stakeholders and deliver high-quality reporting solutions. This role sits between the business and data teams, translating requirements into scalable dashboards and robust data models while ensuring consistency across reporting outputs.
- Manage requests through a structured lifecycle including build, testing, and deployment
- Own and enhance Power BI semantic models to support reporting requirements
- Support development of the reporting layer within the data warehouse using SQL
- Work closely with data engineers to ensure outputs follow dimensional modelling best practices
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues, ensuring outputs reconcile with source systems
- Improve performance across both SQL queries and Power BI models
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including DAX
- Experience using Power BI Service, including publishing, workspace management, and scheduled refreshes
- Solid understanding of data modelling concepts such as fact and dimension tables, and star schemas
- Experience with Azure Synapse or similar cloud data platforms
- Knowledge of Power Query (M language)
- Understanding of Power BI performance optimisation techniques
- Familiarity with Git and structured release or deployment processes
