Senior Data engineer (AWS) in Leeds

Location: London (Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite)

We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a dynamic AWS-focused team. This role involves building and optimising data pipelines, delivering scalable solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client objectives.

What you’ll do

• Design and maintain AWS data pipeline architecture
• Develop solutions using Python, AWS Glue, Step Functions, EMR and Redshift
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure best practices for security and scalability
• Work closely with developers, architects, and analysts on data initiatives

Required Skillset

• 5+ years professional experience in Data engineering roles
• Strong Python programming experience
• Hands-on AWS services: Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, Redshift
• Proficiency with PySpark and Spark SQL
• Understanding of infrastructure, deployment strategies, and capacity planning
• Experience with CI/CD in AWS
• Financial background
