We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead / Architect to join a growing technology business developing a complex software platform.
This is a hands-on role focused on building scalable automation frameworks, improving testing practices and driving an automation-first approach across development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Lead improvements to automation testing processes, standards and best practices.
- Work closely with developers to embed testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive improvements across API, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Explore opportunities to integrate AI into testing processes to improve efficiency, test coverage and automation.
- Mentor engineers and support the adoption of automation-first practices.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Proven experience designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Previous experience leading automation initiatives or influencing testing strategy.
- Experience with API testing, CI/CD and modern software development practices.
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams and drive technical improvements.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools.
- Background in complex SaaS or enterprise software environments.
