An electronics manufacturer based in Rotherham are looking to recruit for a Hardware Engineer to join the R&D Department. This is a key product/system design role to define, design, create and maintain electronic systems and products, including wired/wireless detectors, panels and other peripherals. This encompasses existing legacy and next generation designs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop electronic hardware for our range of next generation wired/wireless products
  • Work as part of a team on complex electronics/software projects, being a key member and driving force in the detailed design of the products
  • Carry out product/system interference investigations to make sure the products meet the relevant standards and approvals requirements
  • Ensure products do not infringe on any existing patents, trademarks, registered designs, copyrights or other intellectual property rights
  • Support with the design and documentation of production test solutions (hardware and/or software) for new and existing products, manufactured in the UK or other global manufacturing facilities
  • Maintain department documentation and carry out documented design reviews and verification testing

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years Hardware Development experience, designing and developing products with printed circuit boards. This role requires someone to be in the office in Rotherham 5 days per week.
