We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Business Analyst to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team. This is a hybrid functional role, working closely with developers, architects and finance/operations stakeholders to design, document and deliver high-quality D365FO solutions. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between the business and technical teams, shaping requirements, supporting solution design, and ensuring D365FO implementations deliver real business value. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex transformation programmes within a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements & Process Analysis: Lead discovery workshops to capture, analyse and document business requirements, current-state and future-state processes
- Solution Design Support: Translate business requirements into functional and low-level solution designs aligned to D365FO best practice
- Functional Ownership: Act as functional SME across D365FO modules (Finance and/or Supply Chain depending on background)
- Hybrid Delivery: Work closely with developers on configurations, extensions and integrations, supporting functional design decisions
- Integration & Data: Support integration and data migration design using DMF, Dataverse, Dual Write and Power Platform
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams and implementation partners
- Testing & UAT: Own functional testing, support UAT planning and execution, and ensure solutions meet business requirements
- Change & Adoption: Support training, documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure smooth adoption post go-live
Skills and Experience
- D365FO Expertise: Strong hands-on experience as a Business Analyst on D365FO implementations
- Modules: Experience across Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, Budgeting) and/or Supply Chain modules
- End-to-End Projects: Proven involvement in full life-cycle D365FO implementations
- Functional Design: Ability to produce clear functional and solution design documentation
- Technical Awareness: Comfortable working alongside developers; exposure to X++, integrations, and Azure DevOps is beneficial
- Testing: Strong experience with functional testing, UAT and defect management
- Power Platform: Exposure to Power Apps, Power Automate or reporting tools is advantageous
- Delivery Methodology: Familiarity with Agile and waterfall delivery environments
