My client are a growing data consultancy and are looking for a Head of Data Foundations to drive their core capabilities in Architecture, Engineering, Data Management and Governance. You'll be the single point of accountability for these foundational functions while delivering transformative value to their clients.

Role and Requirements
Technical Leadership:
- Leverage your deep expertise to build cutting-edge Architecture, Engineering and Data Management solutions
- Scale foundation capabilities while maximizing team efficiency across the portfolio
- Champion data innovation, keeping my client at the forefront of industry advancements
- Develop actionable frameworks that transition clients from traditional processes to data-driven practices
Capability Management:
- Ensure the Capability leads take full accountability for the day-to-day operations in their capability
- Support Client Directors and Client Partners with engaging clients on data foundations and ensure the Company can demonstrate its full Data transformation capabilities
- Oversee the Capability and Practice leads to ensure that technical aspects of project delivery are completed on time and within budget
- Scale their client delivery in a sustainable manner and make the most efficient use of their consulting teams across the portfolio of high-profile engagements.
- Work in collaboration with the Executive team, senior Consulting leadership and Head of People to ensure the overall commercial performance of the data foundation capabilities
Promotion and Brand:
- Actively participate in industry conferences, forums, and events to enhance the Company’s reputation and thought leadership in the data consultancy space. This will include working with senior management and marketing on papers, articles, or blog posts on emerging trends and insights
People Management:
- Identify skills gaps and implement targeted training initiatives
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning
- Support recruitment of top talent and drive performance management
- Ensure meaningful development conversations that accelerate career progression
- Hold Practice leads accountable for team performance
What do I need to apply
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data, with at least 3 years in leadership roles with data consultancies or Vendor Partners
- Ability to operate in the smaller environment and scale up mindset
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and methodologies
- Bringing a passion for data and AI with an interest/experience across all areas from architecture/engineering/Data Management
- A seasoned leader who is highly credible in the tech/data space, conversant level of relevant data concepts and products
- An influential thinker that makes an impact in the market and can inspire clients and its people.
- A passion for growing and developing others
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in Azure and Databricks environments
