My client are a leading Microsoft Partner looking for an experienced Data Engineering Lead to join a dynamic and innovative team delivering high-value data engineering and analytics solutions for their clients. You’ll lead a talented team of technical consultants, combining hands‑on technical work with leadership responsibilities to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coach a team of data professionals, promoting skill growth, collaboration, and a positive work environment.
- Allocate resources and plan workloads to maintain timely and high-quality delivery of client projects.
- Work closely with business development and project management teams to define project scopes, timelines, and technical approaches.
- Monitor team performance, support career progression, and oversee training and certification programs.
- Ensure technical solutions meet quality, efficiency, and compliance standards.
- Contribute directly to solution design, including cloud-based data pipelines, analytics frameworks, and data integration workflows.
- Lead initiatives to improve architecture, optimize ETL/ELT processes, and implement modern data storage solutions.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
- Proven ability to guide technical teams while maintaining high standards of delivery.
- Hands‑on experience in data engineering, analytics, or warehouse development, including: Cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, SQL.
- Creating and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows using SQL and Python.
- Implementing modern data storage and lakehouse architectures.
- Skilled in managing large datasets and developing complex queries, scripts, or notebooks.
- Solid understanding of analytics concepts, data modeling, database design, and performance optimization.
