We are looking for a highly capable and self-sufficient Data Engineer Analyst to support our data and reporting environment during a transitional period. This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, can quickly understand existing systems, and is confident making recommendations to improve processes and outputs. The ideal candidate thrives in environments with limited documentation, can navigate existing data resources effectively, and brings a pragmatic, solution-focused mindset.
Location: Preference will be given to candidates able to work from our Newcastle office at least 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and monitor existing data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance
- Convert a key business reporting spreadsheet into a scalable solution using SQL and Power BI
- Deliver ad hoc, high-priority reporting and data requests
- Collaborate on and provide a structured handover to the incoming Data Insights Manager
- Identify opportunities for improvements and proactively recommend changes to existing processes
