About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Head of AI to lead the design and delivery of an ambitious AI strategy for a leading financial services organisation. This is a senior leadership position combining technical depth with strategic vision, where you will shape how AI transforms products, processes, and customer experiences.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive AI roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Design and oversee scalable AI systems, including advanced machine learning models, automation tools, and generative AI applications.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of AI engineers, data scientists, and product specialists.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to embed AI into core business platforms and services.
- Establish governance frameworks to ensure ethical, compliant, and secure AI deployment.
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and translating research into practical solutions.
- Represent the organisation externally as a thought leader in AI, engaging with industry forums and technology communities.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced academic background (PhD or MSc) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related discipline.
- Proven track record of leading AI initiatives in a complex or regulated environment.
- Strong technical expertise in machine learning, NLP, and scalable architectures.
- Familiarity with modern AI frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Contributions to research, patents, or open-source projects are highly desirable.
