We're looking for a Contract UX Designer to help shape a suite of new healthcare software products from the ground up. This is not a redesign or legacy modernisation project – you'll be designing entirely new product modules that solve complex operational and compliance challenges for healthcare teams.
You'll take MVP requirements and acceptance criteria and rapidly turn them into user flows, wireframes, and clickable prototypes that engineers can build from immediately. Working closely with Product and Engineering, you'll own the design process from concept through delivery, iterating based on user feedback and real-world usage.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design end-to-end workflows for new SaaS product modules
- Translate written specifications into build-ready designs and prototypes
- Create user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed screen states
- Design beyond the happy path, including permissions, edge cases, error states, and empty states
- Work closely with engineers throughout delivery, refining designs as products are built
- Extend and work within an existing design system
- Design responsive experiences across desktop and mobile
- Contribute to user testing and continuous product improvement
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience designing SaaS products in fast-moving startup or scale-up environments
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex workflow design and business-logic-heavy applications
- Experience taking written requirements or acceptance criteria and turning them into production-ready designs
- Advanced Figma skills and rapid prototyping capability
- Strong understanding of design systems and component-based design
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements
- Excellent collaboration skills with Product and Engineering teams
Required
- Experience using AI-powered tools within your design workflow (e.g. Figma AI, v0, Claude, Codex or similar)
- Ability to move quickly from concept to clickable prototype
- Experience designing permission-based workflows, forms, and operational software
Nice to Have
- Healthcare, compliance, risk, quality, or regulated industry experience
- Multi-tenant SaaS experience
- Incident reporting, audit, governance, or workflow product experience
- Interest in AI-native product experiences and workflow automation
Contract Details
- 3+ month initial contract
- Strong likelihood of extension
- Remote-first
- Start date: July 2026
