The Associate Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role in supporting crucial financial decision-making within our fast-paced tech recruitment company. Working closely with key business units, this role ensures accurate financial reporting, assists in budgeting/forecasting, and provides insights to enhance business performance. It requires a strong foundation in finance principles, stakeholder management, and analytical skills to support strategic goals. This role will primarily support UK & USA business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Acumen & Analysis: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support business operations. Conduct variance analysis and basic financial modelling to assess performance. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policy.
- Business Insight & Strategy Support: Understand key business models and performance indicators (KPIs). Support the budgeting process in alignment with strategic business objectives. Stay informed on industry trends and competitor benchmarks to provide relevant insights.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Clearly communicate financial data and insights to non-finance stakeholders. Build relationships with members of sales teams.
- Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Identify financial trends and risks using basic data analysis techniques. Utilise tools such as Excel and BI platforms for financial reporting.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Take ownership of projects and contribute to finance team objectives. Demonstrate accountability in delivering financial insights and reports.
- Systems & Technology Proficiency: Assist in generating reports to provide financial insights for decision-making. Support automation initiatives to improve financial processes.
- Commercial Awareness: Understand how financial outcomes impact overall business performance. Assist in identifying cost efficiencies and opportunities for revenue growth.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Around 3 plus years of experience in finance, accounting, or business partnering roles.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and some financial reporting tools.
- Basic understanding of financial principles (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis).
- Excellent communication and internal stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across our various business functions.
