Contract AI Specialist (Data Governance)
Inside IR35 | £680-£807.50 per day | Hybrid London | Contract until end of year | Start: May
I'm supporting a major organisation that is rapidly increasing its use of AI and now requires an experienced AI Specialist with strong Data Governance expertise. This role is critical in helping the business establish structure, visibility, and control over how AI is consumed across teams.
If you're confident influencing senior stakeholders, driving governance, and aligning multiple suppliers to a clear operating model, this will be a great fit.
The Opportunity
You’ll help the organisation understand its AI consumption, spend, and risks, while designing frameworks and controls to ensure AI is used safely, responsibly, and efficiently. You’ll also help define best-practice prompting models and guide teams on optimising their AI usage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI governance frameworks, controls, and operating models
- Build clarity around AI consumption, usage patterns, and cost drivers
- Define and refine prompting models and usage best practices
- Establish visibility of how AI tools are accessed and used across the organisation
- Work collaboratively with external partners and suppliers, ensuring alignment to governance standards
- Influence senior stakeholders and create buy-in around new ways of working
- Support evaluation or integration of emerging AI tooling (experience with AgentForce is a plus)
What You’ll Need
- Strong background in AI, data governance, or AI operating models
- Deep understanding of AI prompting, LLM consumption, and responsible AI principles
- Proven experience shaping and enforcing governance in fast-moving AI environments
- Excellent stakeholder, partner, and supplier management capabilities
- Ability to operate independently and bring clarity to immature processes
- AgentForce experience highly desirable but not essential
