We're working with a modern insurance business that's been built with a strong focus on technology from day one. No legacy systems, no outdated processes and no treating tech as an afterthought. They're well-funded, growing quickly and have put AI at the centre of how they build and improve their products. This role has been created as part of that journey, not as a "nice to have", but as a key part of where the business is heading.
The culture is also worth calling out. It's a collaborative, positive environment where people are trusted to get on with things, and where new hires are seen as a big deal, not just another number. If you're someone who's already thinking AI-first and wants the space to really push that, this is the kind of place where you can do it.
The role
- You'll act as the go-to person for AI within the Development function, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Day to day, you'll be:
- Working with Development leadership to shape how AI is used across the team
- Collaborating with teams across the business in hands-on, problem-solving sessions
- Working within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, using leading AI and LLM tools
- Looking at current development processes and identifying where AI can add real value
- Driving prompt engineering and more modern, AI-led approaches to building and improving systems
What they're looking for
- Experience within insurance or financial services (this doesn't need to be purely technical)
- Hands-on prompt engineering experience
- Experience working in a GCP environment (or strong exposure)
- Someone who already has an AI-first mindset
- Comfortable working with different teams and speaking to stakeholders
- Confident enough to suggest ideas and improvements, not just follow instructions
What you'll get
- £100k salary (depending on experience) + bonus
- Unlimited holiday
- Pension and private healthcare
- A central London office and a hybrid setup
- The chance to genuinely shape how a business uses AI going forward
