Location: London (Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office)

The Opportunity
We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and business transformation. This is a highly impactful role where you'll partner directly with end users and stakeholders to understand complex problems, rapidly develop solutions, and deploy technology that delivers measurable business value.
Unlike traditional engineering roles, you'll be embedded with teams across the business, acting as both a technical expert and trusted advisor. You'll help identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, and workflow optimisation while building production-ready solutions that solve real-world challenges.

What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify high-value technology opportunities.
- Design, build, and deploy custom applications, AI solutions, and automation tools.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and rapidly iterate solutions based on user feedback.
- Work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to scale successful initiatives into production.
- Drive adoption of AI technologies, including LLMs, agentic workflows, and automation platforms.
- Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and business users.
- Help shape the organisation's AI and technology strategy through hands-on delivery and experimentation.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Strong software engineering experience with languages such as Python, TypeScript, Java, or C#.
- Experience building production-grade applications and APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience working directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to delivery.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Desirable
- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, or Copilot technologies.
- Exposure to data engineering, analytics, or machine learning.
- Experience developing workflow automation solutions.
- Consulting, solutions engineering, or customer-facing engineering experience.
- Knowledge of modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.
