Key Responsibilities
Design & Development

  • Use design to develop soft goods across the range including Tentboxes, awning systems, storage, and accessories.
  • Support the integration of soft goods with structural components, ensuring textiles and framework assemblies work seamlessly together.
  • Deliver solutions that are innovative, functional, and aligned with the TentBox design language and brand purpose.

  • Stay up to date with materials, manufacturing innovations, and outdoor product trends, bringing fresh thinking to the team.
Prototyping, Production & Continuous Improvement
  • Build and test functional prototypes in-house - from rough mock-ups to refined samples.
  • Collaborate with overseas manufacturers on sampling, construction, and production challenges.
  • Prepare and maintain tech packs, BOMs, and documentation throughout the design process.
  • Work with the marketing team to align product design with brand storytelling.
  • Support field testing and iterate based on real-world performance and user feedback.

  • Experienced in collaborating with manufacturers, including sampling, material selection, factory communication, and preparing tech packs/ specification documents.

  • Proficient in design tools such as Fusion 360 (or similar), Keyshot, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Hands-on with testing, prototyping and problem-solving and confident iterating quickly with both textiles and hardware.
  • A clear communicator and team player with the ability to work cross-functionally with product engineering, production, and brand teams.
