We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on IT & Systems Manager to own the end-to-end technology function across our growing business of 80–100 on-site staff. This role blends IT operations, infrastructure management, and digital systems support with optional scope to act as our Data Protection Officer (DPO). From managing our systems, hardware set-up, and employee support, you'll play a central role in keeping our tech smooth, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities
- IT Operations & Support: Own and maintain device setup, configuration, asset management, and user access. Be the main point of contact for IT issues, escalating to third-party partners as needed.
- Systems & Infrastructure: Maintain office and site IT infrastructure including security camera systems and access control. Lead IT onboarding/offboarding processes. Track, order, and manage IT devices, and software to support business needs.
- Security & Compliance: Maintain robust cybersecurity standards and best practices across the business. Proactively monitor and secure network infrastructure, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and secure ways of working for all staff members. Conduct regular security risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation plans. Oversee data backup systems, disaster recovery planning, and software patch management. Option to serve as Data Protection Officer (DPO) – ensuring GDPR compliance, data risk assessments, and employee cyber security awareness training.
- Process & Performance: Recommend and implement improvements to systems, tools, and workflows. Maintain and document all IT policies, procedures, and risk registers. Work with department heads to ensure digital tools align with team needs.
Ideal Candidate
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in IT management or systems administration roles, with a proven track record in implementing and maintaining robust cyber security measures.
- In-depth expertise in IT security best practices, including network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and proactive threat prevention.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, cloud platforms, and device management (Mac environment).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling clear and effective IT support across all teams.
- Familiarity with GDPR principles, data protection requirements, and secure handling of sensitive information.
- Experience managing physical access systems and security camera networks.
- Proven ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
