Job Summary
Work as a Van Driver in our Income Generation and Retail Team. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver, collect, and move stock and donations to designated locations, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Complete up to 3–4 drops per day across South/West Wales and Bristol, with a focus on keeping stock moving between shops and the warehouse.
- Carry out roles that may include lone working, with occasional support from volunteers.
- Represent the organisation professionally and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Operate from the Cardiff warehouse and be within a commutable distance to collect and return the van at the start and end of each day.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence appropriate for a 3.5 tonne vehicle.
- Age of at least 25 due to insurance restrictions.
- Experience of van driving in a similar role.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of stock and, at times, furniture.
- Good frontline customer service skills and the ability to follow health and safety procedures.
- Understanding of safe working practices in a driving and warehouse environment.

This role is based from the Cardiff warehouse. It involves early morning starts across a 35-hour week with no overnight stays.
