Are you an empathetic, professional and qualified Counsellor looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cancer? Our Support Services team is looking for a dedicated individual to join us on a full-time basis. As a key member of our Counselling service, you’ll embody our people‑focused values and provide vital support to our clients affected by cancer. This is a 35‑hour‑per‑week position with funding secured until October 2027.
You’ll play an integral part in a team that prides itself on being people‑focused and is values‑driven. We offer a supportive environment where your skills will shine and your work will directly impact the well‑being of our community. It’s a role where you’ll counsel clients at various points of the cancer journey from diagnosis to end of life on an individual basis and explore developing the counselling service with your wider counselling team colleagues and Support Service teams.

- Experience in being a Counsellor with current BACP or equivalent membership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be an effective Counsellor for people affected by cancer
- A great team player willing to support the team, be flexible and adapt to the service’s needs and bring ideas to develop the service and give encouragement to your colleagues
- You should preferably have Counselling experience working with people with chronic or life limiting health conditions such as cancer
