As a cleaning operative, you will undertake cleaning duties across the site, ensuring a complete cleaning service in compliance with CQC and Health & Safety Regulations. The CQC ensures health services provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Ensure assigned areas are clean, presentable, and serviceable at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the hospital, aligned with operational standards.
  • Present yourself professionally, courteously, and in accordance with company policies and values.
  • Complete all duties related to cleaning and waste collection within designated premises.
  • This role can be physically demanding and may involve lifting.
  • Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks such as washing floors, emptying bins, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting, ensuring high hygiene standards.
  • Assist with laundry duties and rotas as required.
  • Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  • Take responsibility for your area, maintaining high standards.
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Comply with all statutory regulations at all times.
  • Follow reasonable requests from your line manager.
