Tennial Personnel are recruiting a Production Manager Assistant / Coordinator to join an innovative electronics manufacturing business based in Ipswich, Suffolk. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent role following 12 successful working weeks, offering the opportunity to develop within a fast‑paced and growing production environment. This is a hands‑on and varied role supporting the day‑to‑day running of factory operations.
You will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure production schedules are maintained, customer orders are processed and dispatched on time, and workflow across all departments runs efficiently. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple priorities. Experience within electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or electronic production environments is highly desirable. This position operates on a Monday to Friday shift pattern, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Production Manager with the daily running of factory operations
- Assist with production planning and scheduling to meet customer deadlines
- Monitor workflow and production progress throughout the manufacturing process
- Coordinate the dispatch and shipment of completed customer orders
- Identify and help resolve production and operational issues
- Liaise effectively between production, stores, purchasing, and dispatch teams
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation
- Monitor stock levels and support material planning activities
- Assist with quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Support improvements in factory efficiency, organisation, and workflow processes
- Communicate with suppliers and customers when required
- Support urgent production requirements and problem‑solving activities
- Previous experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or electronic production environments is highly desirable
- Strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills
- Excellent problem‑solving ability and strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills across multiple departments
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems is beneficial
- Hands‑on approach with the ability to support different areas of the business
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or electronics‑based environment is desirable but not essential
- Technical understanding of electronic manufacturing processes is advantageous
