Tennial Personnel are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Sales Associate on a temporary-to-permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (37 hours per week), offering £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience. There is potential for a permanent contract after 12 successful working weeks, subject to performance and progression within the role.
This is a sales-driven opportunity suited to someone who is proactive, organised, and comfortable generating new business opportunities. The role involves managing the full sales cycle across commercial cleaning, parking, and printing services, from prospecting through to closing and account development.
Initially operating as a standalone sales function and reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for building your own pipeline, maintaining consistent sales activity, and driving revenue growth. The role offers a working pattern of 1 day per week in the office and 4 days remote, with flexibility around administrative duties. However, the position remains focused on outbound sales activity via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
For the successful candidate, there is clear progression into a Sales Leadership position, with the opportunity to mentor and manage a developing sales team as the function expands.
Key Responsibilities- Generate and convert new business opportunities across multiple service areas
- Conduct proactive outbound sales activity including calls, email outreach, and client meetings
- Manage the full sales process from initial contact to proposal and close
- Prepare quotations and proposals for prospective clients
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Work independently to achieve agreed sales targets
- Provide regular performance updates to the Operations Manager
- Strong communication skills across telephone, email, and in-person meetings
- A proactive and organised approach to managing sales activity
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Confidence engaging with decision-makers
- Resilience and persistence when working towards targets
