Tennial Personnel are currently recruiting for a Machine Technician to join our client’s manufacturing team based in Halesworth, Suffolk, on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful probation period. The role is working a Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern: 05:45am – 2:45pm and 1:00pm – 10:00pm.
You will be responsible for setting and preparing production lines, ensuring machinery is ready for production, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the wider Engineering Team with continuous improvement projects and new product trials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare production lines to ensure they are ready for scheduled production.
- Carry out accurate machine and line changeovers while maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
- Support production teams by troubleshooting minor machine issues and ensuring equipment operates effectively.
- Assist with engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support line trials for new products and production processes.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate production records where required.
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to achieve production targets.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience as a Machine Technician, Line Setter, or in a similar role within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Self-motivated with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications Required:
- Previous machine setting or line setting experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment is essential.
