Tennial Personnel are recruiting Warehouse & Forklift Truck Drivers to join a well-established logistics and distribution company based in Hadleigh, Suffolk. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to secure a permanent position following 12 successful working weeks. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing logistics operation where you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day warehouse function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklift trucks, assisting with stock control, order preparation, goods in and goods out, and ensuring products are handled accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, be computer literate, possess excellent communication skills, and be confident speaking with customers and transport providers over the telephone when required.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM, 1-hour unpaid lunch break

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Counterbalance, Reach Truck or Flexi forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse
  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring goods are handled safely and accurately
  • Move stock to designated warehouse locations using appropriate material handling equipment
  • Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch
  • Assist with goods in and goods out procedures, checking deliveries against paperwork
  • Carry out stock replenishment, stock rotation and inventory checks as required
  • Use warehouse management systems and computer software to update stock records and process orders
  • Communicate confidently with customers, suppliers and transport companies via telephone and email where required
  • Assist with booking deliveries, collections and general warehouse administration
  • Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and records
  • Support general warehouse duties, including manual handling, housekeeping and maintaining a clean working environment

Skills Required:

  • Previous warehouse and logistics experience
  • Competent operating forklifts within a warehouse environment
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn warehouse management systems
  • Confident telephone manner with strong communication skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible with a positive attitude
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures within a warehouse environment

Qualifications Required:

  • Counterbalance, Reach Truck or Flexi Forklift Licence preferred
  • HLOP (High Level Order Picker) licence preferred
  • Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
  • Good level of English, both written and verbal
  • Basic IT skills with experience using computers in a warehouse environment
  • Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy and customer service
