Tennial Personnel are actively recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Risby, near Bury St Edmunds. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity with the potential for a permanent contract following a successful 12-week probation period, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with a pay rate of £14.50 per hour. This is a varied and hands-on position that combines Counterbalance Forklift operation with general warehouse duties. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining a safe and organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload deliveries and outgoing vehicles
  • Carry out goods-in and goods-out procedures
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
  • Move stock, materials, and finished products throughout the warehouse
  • Assist with stock control, stock checks, and inventory management
  • Complete relevant warehouse and dispatch documentation accurately
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and warehouse organisation
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
  • Support other warehouse and production activities as required

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations, including dispatch and goods-in processes
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Ability to undertake manual handling and general warehouse duties
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment

Qualifications Required:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
  • Previous experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment

  • Full UK Driving Licence
