Tennial Personnel are currently recruiting for an Agricultural Delivery & Machinery Support Operative to join a well-established seeds and grain business based in Saxmundham, Suffolk, covering customer sites across East Anglia. This is a temporary position with a beginning of August start, initially for a minimum of one month, with the potential to be extended to a three-month contract depending on business requirements. The role operates on a 5–6 day working week, with 10–11 hour shifts, typically 6:00am/7:00am – 6:00pm/7:00pm.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that involves supporting agricultural operations by delivering equipment and materials to various sites and assisting around large farming machinery. You will be driving a 3.5-tonne van between locations, with full training provided where required. As you'll be working around heavy agricultural equipment, you'll need to be safety-conscious, have excellent awareness of your surroundings, and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive a 3.5-tonne van to agricultural sites across East Anglia.
- Support the delivery and movement of seeds, grain and agricultural materials.
- Assist with machinery operations and site activities as directed.
- Work safely around large agricultural machinery and vehicles.
- Carry out manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a professional and reliable approach while working across multiple locations.
- Comfortable driving a 3.5-tonne van (training can be provided if required).
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual work.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong awareness of health and safety, particularly around heavy machinery.
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to work long shifts.
- Previous agricultural, farming, warehouse or labouring experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- No formal qualifications are required; however, previous experience within agriculture, farming, logistics or a similar hands-on environment would be beneficial.
