Minimum Qualifications:
- Coursework in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
- Minimum of three years’ professional teaching experience in Anatomy & Physiology or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of human body systems, physiology, and related laboratory practices
- Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students
- Commitment to student success and workforce preparation
- Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license
General Duties:
This adjunct instructional position will provide high-quality, competency-based instruction in Anatomy & Physiology to prepare students for careers in healthcare and related fields.
Key Responsibilities – Essential Job Functions:
- Deliver engaging lectures and demonstration sessions in accordance with the program curriculum and guidelines
- Develop and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
- Evaluate and record student performance, maintaining accurate attendance and grade records
- Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in Anatomy & Physiology and related healthcare fields
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and support to students
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to improve instructional quality and student learning outcomes
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the classroom
- Contribute to program accreditation efforts and institutional assessment activities
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and institutional information
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Coordinator
Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA Requirements):
- Standing, walking, and demonstration in a classroom setting
- Lifting and moving instructional equipment, materials, and supplies (up to 40 lbs)
- Operating a motor vehicle for travel within the college service area
Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Instructors will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT - McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following: Sex Offender Registry, County Criminal & Federal Criminal.
