Office Location: TCAT - McMinnville, 241 Vo Tech Dr., McMinnville, TN 37110 (transitioning to Coffee County Campus)

Hours: 80 hours/trimester

Reports to: Nursing Coordinator

Salary: $35/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Coursework in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
  • Minimum of three years’ professional teaching experience in Anatomy & Physiology or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of human body systems, physiology, and related laboratory practices
  • Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students
  • Commitment to student success and workforce preparation
  • Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license

General Duties:

This adjunct instructional position will provide high-quality, competency-based instruction in Anatomy & Physiology to prepare students for careers in healthcare and related fields.

Key Responsibilities – Essential Job Functions:

  • Deliver engaging lectures and demonstration sessions in accordance with the program curriculum and guidelines
  • Develop and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
  • Evaluate and record student performance, maintaining accurate attendance and grade records
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in Anatomy & Physiology and related healthcare fields
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and support to students
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration to improve instructional quality and student learning outcomes
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the classroom
  • Contribute to program accreditation efforts and institutional assessment activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and institutional information
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Coordinator

Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA Requirements):

  • Standing, walking, and demonstration in a classroom setting
  • Lifting and moving instructional equipment, materials, and supplies (up to 40 lbs)
  • Operating a motor vehicle for travel within the college service area

Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Instructors will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT - McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following: Sex Offender Registry, County Criminal & Federal Criminal.
