About the Role

To undertake daily, weekly, and monthly activities to ensure the Packaging Department meets KPI requirements for cost, quality, service, and behaviours through established procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Comply with all statutory and legal requirements.
  • Adhere to safety, health, and environment standards.
  • Follow packaging and food hygiene safety regulations, such as HACCP.
  • Meet product and process quality standards.
  • Maintain housekeeping, cleaning, and 5S practices.
  • Perform basic asset care duties as part of operational responsibilities.
  • Operate packaging equipment to deliver finished goods of the right quality, time, and cost to logistics.
  • Participate in improvement activities to meet KPI targets, including Short Interval Control (SIC).
  • Undertake training to develop new skills and tasks within the Packaging Department, focusing on up-skilling less experienced team members.
  • Assist with any packaging-related tasks as directed by the First Line Manager.
  • Attend meetings and briefings as required.
  • Complete documentation and transactions to support departmental performance improvements.
  • Ensure internal customer requirements are met.
  • Understand and adhere to food safety requirements relevant to the role.

About You

  • English and Mathematics at Standard Grade or equivalent.
  • Packaging or engineering qualifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in packaging or engineering is beneficial.
  • All necessary operational training will be provided.
  • Forklift license where applicable (e.g., Empty Can Store/Keg Palletiser).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
