Overview

Provide support to the logistics department to ensure that all movements inbound and outbound are compliant with HMRC regulations. This involves the generation of Excise movement documents, working with clearance agents to provide Import clearance instructions and generate Export declarations. Ensure that all movements to another Tax warehouse have followed the Due diligence policy and records are retained. Where the movements have crossed the duty point the reporting of the Duty payment to HMRC on a fortnightly basis. Submit monthly stock returns to HMRC using the ATWD system.

Key Duties

  • Import clearance instructions for customs agents.
  • Record, verify and file entries.
  • Verify Import data with MSS reports.
  • Generate Export entries via CDS (Customs Declaration System).
  • Generate Export entries via TSS (Trader Support Service) Exports to Clonmel via Northern Ireland.
  • Ensure all Import and Export entries are compliant with Trade Tariff requirements.
  • Generate EMCS ARC declarations for outbound DIS movements from Wellpark, Dixon Blazes and Thornliebank.
  • Monitor inbound ARC and ensure are discharged in a timely manner.
  • Generate Shipping Notes for shipments to TNI Culcavey.
  • Raise and monitor authorised destructions and Duty reclaims.
  • Generate W5D duty payments fortnightly for each location.
  • Generate monthly Warehouse returns W1.
  • Generate monthly APPA return.

About you

  • Understanding of HMRC regulations, in particular Holding & Movement regulations, Excise Public notice(s) and the Alcohol Producers.
  • 2 years working in an FMCG location that is involved in the production, storage and distribution of Excise goods. Ability to generate EMCS documents, ATWD returns.
  • IT skills in particular, Excel, OneDrive.
  • Descartes – online C&E systems.
  • HMRC Portal – ATWD system.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
