We’re looking for someone to join us as a Category Manager, and help us manage some of our indirect spend (e.g. IT, Marketing, Facilities Management, PPE, HR, Professional Services, Travel, Technology).
Responsibilities
- Manage our indirect spend and ensure we obtain products and services at the best value, delivering cost savings across a broad range of categories in a fast-paced environment.
- Work closely with key business stakeholders to understand objectives and priorities, and include them in the sourcing plan.
- Deliver an efficient and effective sourcing approach, providing market insight and analysis, and running competitive tender processes.
- Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers, monitor trends and developments that may impact price or supply chain availability.
- Develop strong internal relationships with finance to realise savings and effectively manage budgets and reporting.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy within the Procurement team, delivering good results with coaching and support from colleagues.
Qualifications
- Experience in FMCG is beneficial, preferably in the drinks industry.
- Proven experience in indirect category management for IT or Marketing.
- Demonstrated achievements in contract negotiation, cost savings, risk mitigation, supplier consolidation and strategic vendor partnerships.
- Ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels of the business.
- Strong business and numerical acumen with a passion to deliver results and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Willing to travel occasionally – usually between C&C Group sites in the UK and Ireland, or to supplier sites.
