JOB TITLE:

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager

Plant Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for coordinating all EH&S activities at the Cambridge, Ohio plant. The incumbent identifies, analyzes, corrects, and controls environmental, health, and safety hazards in accordance with regulations and company policies. Ensuring timely communication of violations to the Plant Manager and corporate EH&S professionals is also key.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Establish and maintain documented EH&S objectives based on federal, state, and local regulations and corporate policies. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, including EH&S training.
2. Ensure operational controls are effective and maintain conformance to ISO 14001 standards.
3. Conduct initial safety assessments and coordinate EH&S programs among managers, employees, and visitors.
4. Develop and maintain procedures to identify, access, and comply with legal and other EH&S requirements.
5. Coordinate with outside vendors regarding EH&S and environmental standards to ensure compliance and safety.
6. Gather data and develop metrics to report compliance status and excellence levels, with reporting frequency specified by the Plant Manager.
7. Perform other duties of similar scope as required.
8. Report violations and issues following protocol to prevent policy breaches.
9. Complete all training related to the Tenneco Code of Conduct and participate actively in ISO 14001 procedures.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Bachelor\’s Degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of EH&S experience in manufacturing. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, material handling principles, and equipment is preferred.

• Ability to work under strict deadlines
• Knowledge of changing environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations
