Hours: 40 hours per week with overtime available, Monday – Friday

About us: Tennants Distribution Ltd is a leading independent distributor of chemicals based in the UK. We are a subsidiary company of Tennants Consolidated Ltd and our origins go back to the late 1700’s when the company was founded in Glasgow, Scotland. Today we are distributors for some of the world’s major chemical companies stocking over 2500 products in various packaging sizes and in many cases, we are able to offer product in intermediate bulk containers (IBC’s) and bulk road tanker quantities.

We are currently looking for a Forklift Truck Driver to join our Manchester depot. You will be professional and safety conscious in your outlook, with a helpful and productive attitude.

As our FLT Driver (Warehouse Operative), you will be responsible for:

  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, with a forklift truck.
  • Filling IBCs with solvents.
  • Checking for damaged or missing items and reporting to manager.
  • Taking goods to the appropriate storage space.
  • Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely and labelled correctly and safely.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse will also be part of the daily routine.
  • Following workplace health and safety rules.

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

  • Counterbalance FLT licence.
