Summary: Maintains major electrical equipment and systems. Facilitates repairs, replacement and upgrades to all electrical systems to ensure a safe and functional facility.
Responsibilities:
- Under general direction, inspects, installs, repairs, and replaces all components of the electrical distribution systems.
- Installs new system components, electrical panel boards, switch gear, ATSs, generators, paralleling gear, etc.
- Assists Director in planning for expansion/renovation projects and forecasting operating budget and capital needs.
- Performs other related tasks to the maintenance, service, repair, testing, inspection and installation of electrical systems and components, maintenance of inventory parts and supplies.
- May provide assistance to other maintenance personnel in performing repair and service functions.
- At management's discretion, performs other related duties consistent with minimum level of preparation and training required and department demands/needs.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Required: 3 years of progressive experience with an electrical contractor or construction company or experience in a commercial or hospital service environment.
- Certifications:
- Required: Journey electrician license.
