The ideal candidate will be proactive, well-organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment. The Junior Production Assistant will work closely with producers, editors, and the wider Teneo Studio team to ensure that shoots and projects run smoothly. You will support the team at every stage of a project – from pre-production planning and logistics through to delivery of the final edit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist producers and coordinators with pre-production tasks including scheduling, budgeting support, and call sheet preparation.
  • Support with on-set and location shoots: set-up and pack-down, managing equipment, props and supplies, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Help coordinate logistics such as crew travel, catering, and transport.
  • Take notes and maintain production documentation (scripts, shot lists, risk assessments, and release forms).
  • Act as a runner and first point of contact for crew and contributors during shoots.
  • Support editors and post-production staff with file management, project organisation and delivery materials.
  • Assist with basic research, sourcing assets, and production administration.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and creative best practices.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Strong communication skills: able to deliver clear, concise information both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisation: able to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Enthusiasm for film, video, and creative storytelling.
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional work ethic.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Working knowledge of video production processes and social media platforms is desirable.
  • Basic familiarity with camera equipment, Adobe Premiere, or other editing software is beneficial.

Basic Skills and Behaviours

  • A genuine interest in film, video and creative content production.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to take on varied tasks and learn from senior team members.
  • Some prior experience (internship, runner, student film project) is desirable but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings or weekends when shoots require.
