The Economic Consulting Team at Teneo is building a differentiated Economics Consulting practice focused on applying economic analysis to real client decisions. The team sits within Management Consulting part of the global advisory platform and works closely with Management Consulting, Financial Advisory, Risk and Forensics, supporting work across transactions, competition and antitrust, disputes, investigations and policy‑driven engagements. The practice advises leading corporates, investors, law firms and public‑sector organisations, combining economic analysis, data and strategic insight with the firm’s wider commercial and political expertise. As a growing team, this is an opportunity to join at an early stage, gain exposure to senior leaders and clients, and help build a new capability within an established firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Opportunity identification and pursuit
- Support in opportunity review and qualification support
- Work closely with S/MDs to ensure proactive BD activities progress at pace
- Ensure all regionally relevant sector credentials, previous proposals, BD decks case studies, team CVs, methodologies, proposal boiler plates are maintained in a structured repository
- Proactively source relevant materials across Teneo EC and broader Teneo
- Proposal writing
- Support development of commercials
- Own the submission process for portal-based submissions
- Interface with operations to ensure consolidated realistic pipeline based on probabilities, value, expected timeline, actions to drive it forward etc.
- Track meetings and follow-ups
- Prepare weekly region report of opportunities for Teneo EC head
- Support the team in CRM (Hubspot) management
- Support on whitepaper development
- Liaising with the marketing team on cadence release and distribution of whitepapers
- Manage planning for events, roundtables, client dinners, conference attendance, and sponsorships
- Over time cultivate and manage relationships across Teneo to source/share best content and coordinate multi-geography/business line pursuits
- Be the ‘first point of contact’ on a BD pursuit to collate relevant materials around Teneo
- Support cross-sell and adjacency opportunities across Teneo EC and broader Teneo offerings
Basic Qualifications
- Degree qualified (2.1 or above) in any discipline
- 2–3 years’ relevant work experience, ideally within a consulting environment
- Excellent analytical and numerate skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly logical, detail‑oriented, and accurate in reports, data, and written work
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Evidence of leadership, ambition, and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to operate at pace, with confidence to influence and challenge when required
- Proactive approach to taking on unfamiliar tasks and new challenges
