We are looking for an ambitious and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team in London. This is a great opportunity for someone in the early stages of their finance career who is keen to build their experience in a fast-paced, international environment and take on increasing responsibility as they develop.
The role will primarily support the Financial Advisory business while providing support across other geographies when required. You will work closely with colleagues across the finance function, giving you exposure to different teams, processes and systems and the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of how finance operates within an international business.
You will be joining a supportive team where you will receive training on our internal processes and systems. Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day Accounts Payable function for the Financial Advisory business.
- Process and manage invoices and AP transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Support payments, reconciliations and invoice query resolution.
- Work across multiple finance systems and platforms, quickly building confidence in internal processes.
- Use Excel to review, reconcile and analyse financial data.
- Collaborate with finance colleagues in London and internationally, providing cross-geography support when needed.
- Take ownership of deadlines and deliverables, helping to keep finance processes running smoothly.
Skills & Experience
- Ideally 1–2 years’ finance experience, with exposure to Accounts Payable.
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and PivotTables.
- A good understanding of finance and accounting principles, with the ability to hit the ground running and learn quickly.
- Working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or AAT, or a degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, would be advantageous.
- Experience using finance or accounting systems; NetSuite experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A collaborative and flexible team player, comfortable working across teams and geographies.
