This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team as a Treasury and Finance Officer on a 12‑month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for ensuring timely payments of supplier invoices, youth builds and all banking matters and transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner. You will also be responsible for delivering a high standard of service to all AFC business partners, managers and internal and external stakeholders.
How you’ll help to create brighter futures:
- Ensure the day-to-day accounting of bank transactions is carried out with a high level of accuracy, right first time.
- Adhere to, and maintain, the financial services timetable for monthly, quarterly, and annual routines surrounding month end close.
- Ensuring payments are set up in a timely manner and approval process is adhered before setting up payments on bank and APT for BACS payments.
- Assist number of employees with the ability to conduct critical business functions surrounding payments and receipts, understanding all areas of bank administration including BACS, PayPal, and credit card machines and recording these transactions in timely manner on systems.
- Point of contact in relation to bank queries and support hub.
- Balance sheet reconciliations – Bank, PayPal, Petty Cash etc.
- Assist the team in embedding new workload and process/system improvements into the Treasury and financial accounting department.
Part qualified with a recognised CCAB qualification (ACCA, CIMA). Previous experience of delivering the same or similar duties, including production of month end reporting. Effective communicator, including building engagement and support to delivery an effective service. Demonstrable analytical and critical thinking skills. Using an integrated accounts package. Computer literate, with advanced excel skill (including v-lookups, pivots etc.). Effective team player. Ability to apply quality and professional accounting standards, in a methodical way.
