One of our US law firm clients is seeking a client-service focused and detailed-orientated LPM Reporting Analyst to join their London office.

Salary to £60,000 + generous benefits, including a £100 monthly employee contribution that can be used for lunch or other expenses, free lunch every Wednesday, discretionary bonuses, and more!

09:30-17:30 (Monday-Friday)

Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in financial modelling and reporting. You will closely with Business Services teams to equip Partners and Lawyers with key financial insights and reporting solutions that support strategic, data-driven decision making and enhance matter management and profitability.

LPM Reporting Analyst Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise legal project management software, Excel, and Firm resources to prepare reports, models, and templates to analyse Firm financial metrics on a wide array of legal engagements
  • Review time entry data to ensure proper workstream allocation in alignment with budgets to optimise collections and improve profitability
  • Provide data and analytics to inform timely and accurate budget development
  • Attend, participate in, and lead meetings with lawyers regarding matter statuses, billing expectations and timelines, updates to matter plans, and more
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including opportunities to automate and scale financial reporting and matter tracking initiatives
  • Develop expertise in transactional areas of law and related fee drivers to support strategic planning, financial forecasting, and matter budgeting
  • Maintain project trackers and budget repositories to ensure statuses are up to date to facilitate oversight and reporting
LPM Reporting Analyst Skills & Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a practice operations or analyst role within a law firm
  • Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent/relevant experience)
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (i.e., pivot tables, formulas, and data visualisation) and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with legal budgets, financial reporting, and fee monitoring
  • Exposure to private equity fee structures and pricing models is a plus
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Aderant, Iridium, Foundation or Clocktimizer is a plus
