We are seeking a full-time Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Tenderlinks Godalming. Children are at the heart of everything we do. As a Practitioner, you will be supported to work within 'The Curiosity Approach' to support children to gain confidence and encourage curiosity and learning through the child's interests. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children, designing and providing curious invitations to play, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment. A significant part of this role is building positive relationships with children and their families while collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional childcare.
Responsibilities:- Provide attentive care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate invitations to learn and to foster learning and development.
- Create a clean, safe, and stimulating environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Monitor children's development and communicate their progress with parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a harmonious and supportive workplace.
- Follow all safeguarding and first-aid procedures to ensure child safety.
- Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities and report any concerns to the nursery manager.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Previous experience in childcare or working with young children.
- A solid understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and parents.
