Tender Healthcare Group is recruiting compassionate and reliable Specialist Support Workers to join our growing team supporting children, young people and adults with additional needs across the community. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to people's lives through person-centred support, community engagement and positive relationship building.
The Role
You will support individuals with a range of needs including autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, SEND and emotional wellbeing challenges. Support may take place in the community, family homes or local activities.
Duties may include:
- Supporting access to community activities and hobbies
- Promoting independence and confidence
- Providing emotional and behavioural support
- Encouraging communication and social interaction
- Building positive, professional relationships
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting concerns appropriately
- Working in line with safeguarding and care plans
About You
We are looking for people who are:
- Caring, patient and reliable
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communicators
- Passionate about supporting vulnerable children and adults
- Able to maintain professional boundaries
- Flexible to work evenings and some weekends
Experience in care, support work, education, youth work, mental health, SEND or community services is desirable but not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided. Drivers are preferred due to the nature of community-based work; however, non-drivers are encouraged to apply.
