Tender Caregivers is looking for dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to support people in their own homes and local communities. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely cares about helping people remain safe, comfortable and independent at home.
You may be supporting older adults, people living with dementia, individuals with physical disabilities, people recovering from illness, or adults who need daily support with personal care, medication prompts, meals, mobility, companionship and general wellbeing.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have experience in homecare, domiciliary care, reablement, supported living, residential care, nursing homes, mental health support, learning disability support or community care.
About the role:
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will visit people in their homes to provide safe, respectful and person-centred care. You will support each person in line with their care plan, promoting dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing at all times.
- Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence support
- Supporting with safe moving and handling, mobility and transfers where required
- Preparing meals, drinks and supporting nutrition and hydration
- Prompting or assisting with medication in line with care plans and company procedures
- Offering companionship and emotional reassurance
- Supporting light domestic tasks linked to the person’s wellbeing
- Helping clients attend appointments, access the community or maintain daily routines
- Observing and reporting changes in health, mood, mobility, appetite or general wellbeing
- Completing accurate care records after each visit
- Following safeguarding, infection control, confidentiality and health and safety procedures
About you:
The right person for this role will be dependable, respectful and able to build trust with people who may feel vulnerable, anxious or lonely. You should understand that good care is not just about completing tasks; it is about treating every person with patience, dignity and kindness.
We are looking for people who have:
- Experience in care or support work, ideally within domiciliary care, homecare, residential care, supported living or health and social care
- A caring, patient and professional approach
- Good communication and observation skills
- Reliability, punctuality and the ability to follow agreed rotas
- Respect for privacy, dignity, choice and independence
- The ability to follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
- A driving licence and access to a car is strongly desirable due to the nature of community-based work across Liverpool and Knowsley.
Relevant experience may include roles such as Care Assistant, Homecare Worker, Domiciliary Care Worker, Community Care Assistant, Support Worker, Reablement Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Personal Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant.
