We seek creative, compassionate, and supportive people to work one-on-one in a home and/or community-based setting with children with special needs. If you aren’t afraid to have fun with your job and will bring enthusiasm, dedication, and spirit, we want YOU to join our TEAM!

As an HBTS Support Staff, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Protecting the rights and dignities of children with special needs and extending these rights and dignities to family members or guardians
  • Working one-on-one in the home/community with a child who has special needs
  • Providing specialized treatment and/or treatment support to children aged 3-21 years in all areas identified through HBTS plans
  • Reviewing treatment plans for direction and collecting data to achieve goals
  • Attending agency and department-specific trainings and meetings
  • Performing other duties as directed by the supervisor related to the organization’s mission, goals, and operations

Education/ Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have two years of supervised experience working with children with special health care needs, or an Associate’s degree in human services (i.e., psychology, counseling, child development, education, nursing, etc.), or be currently enrolled in not less than six (6) semester hours of relevant undergraduate coursework at an accredited college or university
  • Must successfully pass BCI and CANTs screenings
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, automobile insurance, and access to a vehicle to be used as directed and when needed for transport
