This role supports laboratory and production operations by planning, preparing, and carrying out routine laboratory testing and quality control activities. The position ensures accurate testing, preparation of laboratory solutions, and timely reporting of results to senior staff and the Lab Team Lead. The role is also responsible for maintaining laboratory chemicals, consumables, and documentation in line with health, safety, and compliance requirements. Through regular maintenance, calibration, and elastomer QC testing, the role contributes to safe, efficient, and reliable production processes.

Directly reports to: Lab Team Lead
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual project budgets to be managed in accordance with TAQA Well Completions procedures and appropriate approvals as per company’s Manual of Authority.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Planning and setting up laboratory testing for senior staff.
- Performing basic lab testing and providing results to Lab Team Lead.
- Mix mud, brine, and acids/alkalis solutions.
- Control of fluids, chemicals, and consumables in the lab and ensure paperwork (MSDS, COSHH) is in order.
- Ensuring appropriate QHSE paperwork is kept up to date including daily maintenance, calibrations, and stock checks.
- Perform elastomer QC testing for production facilities.

- Demonstrate commitment to the quality of service, including quality of records produced, aiming at meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- Demonstrate personal commitment to protection of Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Follow company QHSE Policy, relevant operational procedures, HSE procedures and risk assessments.
- Communicate and report on any perceived non-conformances or faults in the service provided or in the company’s Quality or HSE Management Systems.

- Previous lab experience.
- COSHH trained.
- Demonstrate commitment to the quality of service, including quality of records produced, aiming at meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
