With Tended’s rapid growth, we’re ready to bring on a Project Manager to drive one of our biggest and most impactful projects so far.
Role Description
This is a full-time Project Manager role based locally to Network Rail's East Coast Route, United Kingdom. The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate the project, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives, and will take a hands-on role in delivering training directly to client users. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and scheduling project work
- Organising and delivering client training
- Producing clear written updates and reports for both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Essential:
- You have significant experience in project management disciplines such as planning, managing risks, dependencies, issues, timelines, scope, deliverables and quality.
- You have experience delivering training or coaching to end users, ensuring they are confident and capable in using new technologies and processes.
- You instinctively take initiative to find and fix problems, thinking out of the box to find ways to make things better.
- You have experience with project management tools (such as Microsoft Project).
- You are able to work at weekends, bank holidays and/or overnight when required, to support deployments to shift workers.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills are essential.
- You must be able to drive and have a full driving licence.
Desirable:
- You might have practical, hands-on experience of on-the-ground delivery of new technologies, delivering to a range of different kinds of users with different levels of tech-savviness.
- You might have some commercial awareness, such as understanding how to demonstrate the value of our work to clients during and after delivery.
- Good report writing skills to clearly communicate outcomes and insights are desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Proven experience in the rail industry would be a significant advantage.
