What The Role Entails
As a Technical Artist Intern, you will support the animation and mocap pipelines for Unreal Projects.
- Animation Tooling & Pipeline: Support the creation and maintenance of Control Rig, Animation Blueprints, and State Machines in Unreal Engine. Document new tools and procedures to assist the animation team.
- Motion Capture Studio Support: Help process and validate mocap data for handoff to the animation team. Support retargeting workflows, including MetaHuman and custom character rigs.
- Engine Integration: Integrate animation assets into Unreal Engine while maintaining performance and memory budgets.
Who We Look For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Digital Art, or a related field.
- Unreal Engine Mastery: You have a working knowledge of the UE5 animation ecosystem (IK Rig, Retargeters, Sequencer).
- Rigging Fundamentals: You understand joints, skinning, and how a character should deform.
- Communication & Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, international teams across different time zones.
