  • What The Role Entails
  • Responsible for creating high-quality hard-surface game assets, including vehicles, weapons, machinery, sci-fi environment props, and other related objects.

Work includes high-poly modeling, low-poly modeling, and UV unwrapping/layout.

  • Responsible for baking normal maps and related texture maps from high-poly models to low-poly models, and creating realistic material and texture effects based on the PBR workflow.
  • Import completed assets into mainstream game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity, and collaborate with programmers and game designers to restore and adjust the final in-engine visual results.
  • Work with the team to explore how generative AI tools, such as Midjourney and Hunyuan 3D, can be integrated into early- and mid-stage asset production workflows, including concept design support and texture generation assistance.
  • Who We Look For
  • Majors in art, digital media, 3D animation, game design, or related fields are preferred.

Outstanding candidates from other backgrounds are also welcome.

A personal portfolio is required, including complete hard-surface and PBR works.

  • Proficient in at least one mainstream 3D modeling software, such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.

Solid foundation in hard-surface modeling, with clean topology, reasonable edge flow, and accurate structural design.

  • Proficient in Substance Painter or Mari for PBR material and texture creation, with a strong eye for material qualities such as metal, plastic, paint, wear, scratches, and surface aging.
  • Familiar with the complete high-poly to low-poly baking workflow using tools such as Marmoset Toolbag or Substance Painter.

Able to accurately preserve high-poly details while maintaining proper low-poly polygon counts and topology structure.

  • Familiar with common AI image generation and model design workflows.

Able to use AI tools to quickly extract design inspiration, assist in concept sketch generation, or support texture and material creation, such as using Stable Diffusion to enhance detail maps or understanding the basic principles of AI image-to-3D workflows.

  • Strong self-learning ability and teamwork spirit.

Passionate about emerging technologies, such as virtualized micropolygon geometry technology and AI-assisted production workflows.

  • Nice to Have
  • Proficiency in Blender for efficient hard-surface modeling, including experience with plugins such as Hard Ops and Boxcutter.
  • Hands-on experience integrating assets into Unreal Engine 5 or Unity projects/demos, with basic understanding of material node setup.
  • Ability to use Stable Diffusion or Midjourney for controllable image generation, with practical experience integrating AI into production workflows, such as creating seamless textures or developing concept base designs.
  • Familiarity with ZBrush sculpting, especially for assets involving both hard-surface and organic elements, or complex surface wear and damage details.
