Due to retirement, Tenbury Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our well-established, 9750-patient semi-rural practice set in the Worcestershire Teme Valley. Tenbury is a small market town on the River Teme, famous for apple growing, The Mistletoe Festival, an interesting range of independent shops and an art deco cinema. Our patch extends up into the south Shropshire Hills with a dispensing branch surgery on Clee Hill. Tenbury is within an easy commute from surrounding towns including Ludlow, Leominster, Worcester and Kidderminster.

Main duties of the job:

  • Tenbury Surgery is looking for a Salaried GP to work with us for 6-8 sessions, with an interest in training.
  • We are led by 2 GP Partners, who work with 4 Salaried GPs, 1 ANP, an excellent nursing team and a Practice Manager, who is supported by our wider team.
  • Dispensing branch surgery on Clee Hill.
  • We provide weekday medical cover for our local community hospital.
  • GP training practice.
  • Keele University medical students.
  • Part of a well-functioning Herefordshire PCN with support from ARRS staff including visiting community paramedics, clinical pharmacist, mental health practitioner and a Wellbeing Team. One of our partners is Clinical Director.
  • Special clinical interests supported.
  • Friendly, supportive and fun team (with regular social events).
  • Mentorship offered for recently qualified colleagues with an 'open door' approach to discussing more challenging cases.
  • Daily coffee breaks and protected administration time (pro-rata session per week).
  • Stable resilient local population who appreciates the care that we offer.
  • EMIS Web, Docman, AccuRx and Abtrace.
