We are seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our residential care team, supporting young people aged 11-16. The role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can develop confidence, life skills, and emotional resilience.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily needs of young people, building positive relationships, and promoting their well-being, independence, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to young people in a residential setting
  • Build trusting, positive relationships and act as a consistent role model
  • Support young people with daily routines, including education, activities, meals, and personal care (where appropriate)
  • Promote positive behaviour and follow agreed behaviour support plans
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment at all times
  • Accurately record information and contribute to care plans, reports, and reviews
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, managers, families, and external professionals
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures
About You
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people
  • Patient, resilient, and emotionally mature
  • Able to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Essential Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
  • A genuine interest in residential childcare
  • Willingness to complete required training
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
