As the organisation delivers an ambitious strategy through to 2029, they are looking for an experienced HR professional to help embed best practice and technical excellence across the HR function.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of Finance & HR, youll work closely with the HR Operations Manager and HR Officer on a range of technical and improvement-focused projects, including:
Reviewing and updating employment contracts, offer letters and associated HR documentation, including managing any required consultation and implementation.
Providing guidance on employment law, including the Employment Rights Act 2025 and requirements relating to trade unions.
Developing consistent approaches to recruitment assessment, including equality impact considerations.
Standardising job descriptions and creating a role equivalency structure to support talent retention.
Developing guidance around DBS checks and sensitive employee information.
Reviewing policies and agreements for volunteers and student placements.
Supporting the procurement and specification of learning and development, including leadership training.
Undertaking wider HR projects and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
About you
Youll be an experienced in-house HR professional with strong technical expertise and a practical approach to improving HR processes and documentation. Youll have:
CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification.
Significant experience in a senior HR role.
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practice, standard employment policies and EDI.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex HR matters clearly. xgikmsk
